IT to me is totally new to me. At first i'm so confusing about HTML but at last i figured out how to do it and completed my work. Here i would like to apologise to miss Shahrinaz for submitting my report late due to hectic week and some technical errors also limitation that i gone through in this assignment. The process of this assignment which i need to copy the notes from my previous tutorial i did and paste on the notepad. Eg. ,, , and so on. I fill in the notepad linked with my pictures and save it as html's file. Eg. kazaf.html. I open the file with internet explorer and a website came out with my pictures and what i noted in the paragraph. I created a free web host account and uploaded my html's file in the website. I have my own website (http://kazafai.bravehost.com/kazaf.html) afterall my hardwork. i have posted this link in the facebook CC106 group.
The technologies i learned from this assignment is how to create a html file, create own website, use notepad to create HTML, create blog, link pictures with notepad to HTML, and share it in facebook group. The advantages for all this technologies is you can create your own website for free and write your blogs for free too. Just need to create or form a HTML file and upload in the website.
The disadvantages is the complicating steps on creating the free web host. Complicated in domain, subdomain, and so on. This has make me so headache and spend a lot of time on it. Maybe i still not master with it. In addition, there is also complicating on linking the pictures to HTML. When i uploaded the file in the web manager, i open the HTML file, there is a blank on the picture space. Therefore, i need to upload the images and relink the images with the link address. I found this error is so complicated.
The difficulty in debugging the HTML codes in getting the output you want is where i need to understand the short form such as for paragraph, for bold, close paragraph, break paragraph and so on. I experienced how to debug the output that i want and write what i want and save it as HTML file. Once i open it with internet explorer i can read what i written on the notepad and the pictures i linked.
I experienced on which free web hosting server is the most easiest and least complicated to form a website. I searched on googles and there is few free web hosting such as geocities.com, bravenet.com etc. Geocities.com is under yahoo and i can't find the button of create account. I surfed www.bravenet.com and created an account on the spot. The difficulty of creating a free web host in bravenet is when gone into creating a website, there is few options to choose such as domain, subdomain, web host and so on. I clicked on all the button and at last i created the website through subdomain. I created the subdomain website with http://kazafai.bravehost.com. I experienced all this process and difficulties but at last i can completed the assignment. Thank god.
Uploading files into the web server is very easy. There is a file manager to manage what to upload in the website. I uploaded the HTML file on it. Here i found the biggest limitation which is after i uploaded the html file, i clicked on it but it comes out without pictures. I try a lot of ways such as upload the pictures into the file manager to relink the html but it's not work. Then i try to click on the images that i upload and copy the link address. The link address i pasted on the notepad and resave the file as html. I remove the uploaded html file and upload the new html file. The pictures has linked and my work has completed. Using blog is not that difficult and it is simple. i just need to have a gmail account and i already have 1 in the past. I just log in and choose the template i want and start to write what i wan to post. I'm new with blogs but it is simple. Nothing to explore for now but i know there is more to know in future about blogs.
Put into a nutshell, I learnt how to use notepad and create html. Create own website with free hosting server, and create blogs. i never write any blogs before but at least now i explored how to use blogger. The different for my next assignment is i will use least time to complete the assignment and won't hand in my assignment late for a day. Furthermore, will do a better work. Thank you.
